About the event
In France, May 1st is "Lily of the Valley Day," and it's customary to give lilies of the valley to loved ones. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about this flower, which is said to bring good fortune, from Kaori, who has studied haute couture embroidery.
I'm taking this opportunity to return to Japan for the first time in two years, and I've been given the chance to hold a workshop.
The embroidery incorporates beads and metallic threads, resulting in slightly three-dimensional motifs.
This classic-designed brooch could be used in a variety of ways, such as on a chic dress, jacket, or hat.
